Limit of Coverage
Each member is allowed to register only one (1) EProtect card per year.

EXCLUSIONS
The member/family of the deceased will not be entitled to any EProtect benefits, if:

1. The member’s coverage has expired;

2. The age of the member is less than 10 years old or more than 65 years old at the time of death;

3. The cause of the death is due to cancer, HIV or AIDS;

4. The member died within the first 180 days of coverage due to sickness;

5. The member died due to unprovoked murder and assault in the following areas:

o hunting

o racing of all kinds

o steeple chasing

o polo playing

o mountaineering

o winter sports

o ice hockey

o football

o yachting

o scuba or snuba diving (snorkeling w/ scuba diving)

o parachuting

o skydiving

o boxing

o wrestling

o other similar activities

7. The member died as consequence of committing or attempting to commit suicide (whether sane or insane) or willful exposing himself to needless peril except in an attempt to save human life.

8. The member dies due to war, invasions, act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, or military or usurped power, the insured engaging in or involving in military or para-military activities, active or direct participation in strike, riot and civil commotion, any weapon or instrument employing atomic fission or radioactive force, whether in time of peace or war.

9. The member’s death is consequent upon or contributed by:

o suffering from pre-existing physical or mental defect or infirmity which had not been declared to and accepted in writing by the company;

o being under the influence of alcohol or unprescribed drugs unless it can be established that alcohol or drugs was not a factor contributing to the happening of the injury;

o being insane or pregnant;

o acts of God or natural calamities such as earthquake, flood, typhoon, volcanic eruption, tidal wave, etc.
